According to a survey Adoption Truth & Transparency Worldwide Network issued in the summer of 2019, a whopping 95.5% of all surveyed adoptees do NOT believe the adoption agency rhetoric that has for generations claimed that adoptions are planned by God. Instead, survey findings reveal that, we, as individuals and as a collective, believe that the "adoption plan," was planned by humans. And I would like to add to that: fallible humans.

51.3% of the respondents were born in the United States. The next largest group came from South Korea at 8.8%, participants from Greece at 7.1% and Columbia at 2.7%. Others were born in Bangladesh, Bolivia, Brazil, China, Colombia, Ethiopia, Haiti, Hong Kong, India, Philippines, Romania, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam. And the remaining respondents at 15% came from other nations.

On the demand-side, 70.8% were adopted within or sent to the United States, 6.2% were sent to Canada 4.4%. were sent to Australia, and 2.7% were sent to Germany. The remaining receiving nations included Denmark, France, the Netherlands, and Norway.

The Respondent with the earliest adoption took place in the year of 1942. (Another respondent had replied 1837. We believe this could have been a typo intended to be "1937." But we did not include this as a viable answer in the results.)

*If you are adopted and haven't yet taken the "Was Your Adoption Ethical" survey, here is the link. Your opinion counts. You could be helping the future of many adoptees. You could be changing the future of the practice.

If you are adopted and looking for people who understand "where you've been" without having to explain it to them, consider joining Adoption Truth & Transparency Worldwide Network on Facebook for camaraderie and community.

Facts (& history) the adoption industry does not want you to know!

If you want to protect yourself and others, walk in your power and defend the meek, you need a bird’s-eye view of the landscape. This is the reason Adoption: What You Should Know needs to be read. The adoptee-rights community deserves a better perspective. I've been told that the research put into these books allows a view from the 50th floor. When we stay in the dark and we never consider that we have innate rights, the industry profits. And they have.
