We Believe South Korea Needs to Completely Halt the Export of Children.

We Believe Korea Needs to Completely Halt the Export of Children.

After assessing the politics of adoption from all angles and learning that our 1972 adoptions from Korea were illegal and a severe human rights violation, we’ve decided to clearly state our stance. We are against the legalized commodification of children. It’s already been 70 years since the Korean War ended. International Adoption is not warranted anymore.

If you work for an adoption agency, an adoptive parent, or profit from permanently separating families, then the Adoption Truth community is not for you.

If you are adopted and believe that your birth country needs to completely stop the legalized business of intercountry adoption, ATTWIN aligns with you. If you believe other like-minded friends, allies, advocates, and activists want the same thing, you may invite them into the group.

You will find a position document, details, and commentary on why we believe Korea needs to halt adoptions.

Adoption Truth and Transparency Worldwide Information Network  (ATTWIN) stands for human rights enshrined in the UNCRC. The forum consists of domestic, late discovery, transracial, and international adult adoptees, families separated by adoption, and parents of loss. We state clearly that we are against The Hague Adoption Convention.

We do not endorse the refining, reforming, or perfecting crimes committed against children and families.

We believe in redress to victims for the crimes already committed. To support the endeavor to educate the public on the crisis of adoption trafficking, visit USA.againstchildtrafficking.org. Or visit againstchildtrafficking.org for investigational research and documentation.
